Kent Wilson’s Journey at PLC

Hi there! I’m Kent Wilson, originally from the Philippines, and I’d love to share my journey with you. My story is one of passion, persistence, and a lot of help from an incredible institution—Pacific Link College (PLC).

After graduating from De la Salle College with a Bachelor of Science in Restaurant Institution Management, majoring in Culinary Arts, I knew that the hospitality industry was where I belonged. But I wanted more—more experience, more opportunities, and more skills. That’s when I decided to study in Canada, at PLC, and boy, was that a game-changer!

When I joined Pacific Link College, I enrolled in their Canadian Workplace Skills Faculty for Tourism, Hospitality and Services program. This was a crucial step in shaping my career, giving me the tools and confidence to land a job at one of the most prestigious hotels in Canada—Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Working here has been nothing short of a dream come true. I get to do what I love every day—preparing meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The work is challenging, yes, but it’s the kind of challenge that pushes you to grow. I love every moment of it because it aligns perfectly with my future goals. I aspire to become a better chef, and this job is the perfect training ground.
