Policy:

Pacific Link College is committed to ensuring that its learning environment promotes the respectful and fair treatment of all students.

While on PLC premises or in the course of activities or events hosted by PLC the following activities are prohibited:

  • Misconduct against persons: physically aggressive behaviour, threats, threatening conduct, or harassment of any type
  • Misconduct against property
  • Disruption of activities organized by the College
  • Unauthorized use of College facilities, equipment or services
  • Making false charges
  • Providing false information to the College
  • Refusal to comply with disciplinary measures
  • Refusal to comply with the direction of a College representative
  • Unauthorized possession or use of dangerous objects
  • Alcohol or drug use
  • Contravention of College regulations or federal, provincial or municipal laws

Procedure for Grade Appeal:

The Campus Coordinator meets with the accused student to discuss the issue. Based on the meeting any of the following may be done:

The College closes the file and informs all parties involved if it decides that the student did not commit the prohibited act. OR

The College may let the student continue classes pending further investigation. OR

The student may be given a written warning regarding the conduct. OR

The student can face immediate suspension or expulsion.
