Course Overview
This course provides students with the skills to recognize precipitating factors and address anxious, hostile, or violent behaviour by applying verbal, non-verbal, and physical intervention techniques to either prevent or de-escalate disruptive behaviour. This course offers comprehensive training in nonviolent crisis prevention and management techniques for individuals working in various settings, including healthcare, education, mental health, and social services.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively prevent and manage crises in a nonviolent manner.

Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- demonstrate expertise in non-violent conflict transformation techniques and strategies;
- show enhanced critical reading and analysis skills;
- distinguish between conventional structures and institutions that contribute to conflict and then,
- engage in non-violent revisioning of these structures and institutions;
- recognize the structural antecedents to contemporary conflicts;
- describe and critically analyse the strategies and tactics for NVCP/M
